LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Consumer Electronics Show (CES) – January 7, 2010 – The chart-topping voices of Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, Train’s Pat Monahan, Cartel’s Will Pugh and Cobra Starship’s Gabe Saporta will now be calling out tunes, creating playlists, recommending new music, and announcing new releases in the car via Gracenote’s CarStars, the world’s first personalized automobile entertainment system and winner of CNET’s “Best of CES 2009” award in the automotive category.  The announcement comes after all four artists have agreed to participate in the creation of CarStars entertainment guides, becoming part of Gracenote’s groundbreaking movement to create personalized, direct relationships between artists and fans in the car. The CarStars technology and new celebrity voice guides will be demonstrated this week at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Gracenote’s booth, LVCC South Hall 3, Booth 31106.

Gracenote and Voxonic Team Up with Atlantic Records and Nissan to Demonstrate “CarStars” – First Prototype of Artist-Themed In-Car Entertainment System

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW — Jan. 7, 2009 —Life in the fast lane will never be the same once drivers experience the world’s first personalized automobile entertainment system – the result of a collaboration between Gracenote® and Voxonic with support from Atlantic Records and Nissan Motor Co.¬ ¬- being demonstrated this week at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).  Designed to create a dynamic user interface tailored to a driver’s specific tastes, the system, dubbed CarStars, provides an entirely new in-car entertainment experience using celebrity images and voices.  For instance, coupe drivers can go hip hop with American King/Capital Records recording artist Mims calling out the tunes, while an SUV owner might opt for an R&B theme with Nick Ashford.
